Maria’s mission is to source the most interesting and relevant art for each of her clients, carefully pulling from a never-ending inventory of global talent, to curate extraordinary projects that remain memorable including art collections that increase in value over time. She works to demystify the world of contemporary art and interior design, marrying them in a way that is visually and culturally significant.
Maria partners with brands, artists, hospitality groups, publishing companies, institutions and organizations to provide her signature curatorial and design skills and style. She has created sold out capsule collections of limited edition fashion accessories in collaboration with contemporary artists. The collections have grown to include over fifty design editions in collaboration with artists such as Katherine Bernhardt, Nir Hod, Kenny Scharf, Dzine Rolon, Trudy Benson and Erik Parker. Maria’s collaborations have been sold in the most respected fashion and concept stores worldwide including Colette in Paris, Kirna Zabete in New York, Joyce in Hong Kong, Takashimaya in Tokyo and Alchemist in Miami.
Maria curated the first art show comprised solely of New York-based artists in Greece in the summer of 2016. “Greek Gotham”, presented at Dio Horia, Mykonos, was accompanied by the debut of a book by Maria, with an introduction by Jeffrey Deitch, to commemorate the exhibition and its cultural and artistic importance. Her first book, “Out There”,published by Pointed Leaf Press in 2013 was the recipient of the USA Best Book Awards in both the Art and Design Categories, as well as an Amazon bestseller.
Maria speaks selectively on the topics of collecting and living with art and design for organizations, brands, digital platforms, sponsors and publications including The New York, Times, eBay, SoHo House, Neuehouse, Sotheby’s Realty, Condé Nast. She enjoys curating symbiotic artist performances, collaborations, panel discussions and private dinners in sync with her projects.
